Chlorine Dioxide Generation and Use
Chlorine dioxide is now a recognised alternative to chlorine/hypochlorite as a disinfectant in many areas.

This innovative technology has a number of advantages in that it is less corrosive and more environmentally friendly than chlorine, it is effective against a wide range of bacteria, including legionella, and is effective in the removal of biofilms. In addition it does not form chlorinated by-products (some are carcinogens) and destroys a wide range of chemical contaminants.

Nation provide the facility to design and build chlorine dioxide generators, with all the necessary safety features to ensure safe use. "Dioxygen" is Nation’s chlorine dioxide control and delivery system.

These generators are installed and commissioned on client's sites, with Nation also providing the necessary servicing and back up for correct and safe operational use.

We use a 2 precursor chemical system in the generation process, with the chlorine dioxide being produced in solution form for direct application in the process.

Current Applications use chlorine dioxide as background disinfectant in water systems having bacteriological contamination problems, particularly legionella; wash application in food sites; biocide for use in bacteriological control in cooling tower applications, and there are many more.
