NCH (UK) Ltd Continues the Fast Growth of its Water Treatment Business;

Watertreat Ltd Merges with Chem-Aqua UK
WEST BROMWICH, England, September 17th – NCH (UK) Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of NCH Corporation*) announced today that Watertreat Ltd, a UK water treatment company based in Beverley, East Yorkshire, will merge with Chem-Aqua UK, its water treatment company. Adrian Brayshaw, the owner and managing director, will join the Chem-Aqua management team.

Adrian Brayshaw said: “Watertreat Ltd has been successfully servicing middle market customers across the whole of the UK since 1994. I am delighted to be joining the Chem-Aqua team because we have the same principles of integrity and customer focus. The greater resources of NCH plus the recent successful integration of Nation Water Treatments Ltd provide a strong technical and systems platform for accelerated growth and innovation. “

Acquisition strengthens Chem-Aqua position as fastest growing middle market Water Treatment Service Company


Chem-Aqua (www.chemaqua.com), a division of NCH*, announced on 10th April 2007 that it has acquired Nation Water Treatments (NWT) Ltd (www.nationwatertreatments.co.uk), a highly respected UK Water Treatment Company.

Successful accreditation to safety management system OHSAS 18001
Nation Water Treatments has successfully achieved accreditation to safety management system OHSAS 18001:1999. The company was originally accredited to ISO 9001 and has now combined the accreditation to PAS99 with the integration of its OHSAS 18001 systems.

The result of BSI’s audit confirms our commitment to the progressive development of our integrated business system. Successful accreditation to IiP for Nation
Nation Water Treatments has successfully achieved re-accreditation to the Investors in People standard. The company was originally accredited in 2004 and since then it has developed and progressed a significant number of its business and management systems, a point noted by the Centre for Assessment and Recognition’s independent assessor.

OHSAS 18001

Phase 1 Safety Management implementation continues on track with BSI
In line with its published safety management strategy, Nation has successfully completed the second stage of its OHSAS 18001 implementation phase and is on track for full system accreditation by March 2007. During December, the BSI carried out a Phase 1 audit of the Group’s safety management systems. The review was carried out at the Group’s main distribution centre in Bromborough, Merseyside.

OHSAS 18001 Safety Management implementation on track with BSI
Nation has successfully completed its initial OHSAS 18001 implementation phase and is on track for full system accreditation by March 2007. During September, a two man team from BSI carried out an initial assessment of the Group¹s safety management systems. The review was carried out at the Group¹s main distribution centre in Bromborough, Merseyside. The findings from the audit team were very positive and recognized the hard work carried out by Nation¹s safety staff in developing detailed auditable safety systems. The BSI will carry out a further review in December 06 in line with their internal assessment guidelines. Further Success and Growth for Merseyside based company
Nation Water Treatments Limited (NWT) has acquired the East Anglian based water treatment business “W4” - Wise Ways With Water. Brian Booth, NWT’s Managing Director said, “this represents another extremely positive chapter in our company’s continued growth and success. W4 is a well-respected organisation and its success has been built on excellence in customer focus and service quality; this makes its synergy with Nation a very natural fit”.

Brian Booth confirmed that the acquisition of W4 has been a key objective in NWT’s commercial growth strategy for some time. “Our aim is to become the leading UK based water treatment service provider.
